John Robert Egan is an experienced Immigration Attorney, and has served as the Chairperson of the AILA Hawai’i Chapter. His immigration law experience includes 2½ years as supervising attorney of the Refugee and Immigration Law Clinic at the Richardson School of Law at the University of Hawai’i (UHM). His teaching experience includes five years developing curricula and teaching about Humanitarian Law and Assistance in the Program on Disaster Management and Humanitarian Assistance at UHM. He has also taught as an adjunct professor at Hawai’i Pacific University. In the early 1990’s John worked as a Field Officer for the United Nations Refugee Agency, UNHCR, serving in posts in Africa.
